Award-winning Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma is set to bring his 2026 world tour, Bovi: Guilty as Charged, to an end with two major performances in Nigeria.
After a successful international run featuring several sold-out shows, the comedian will return home in October for performances in Benin City and Lagos.
The Nigerian leg of the tour will kick off in Benin City on October 1, before the comedian heads to Lagos for the grand finale on October 11.
The Lagos show will take place at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotel, where Bovi is expected to conclude the months-long tour in front of his home audience.
Bovi commenced the international leg of the tour in the United Kingdom during the Easter period, where he sold out Indigo at The O2.
He later took the comedy tour to Canada, performing in six cities, including Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton. All six Canadian performances were reportedly sold out.
With the Nigerian shows now confirmed as the final stops, fans in Benin City will have the first opportunity to see Bovi perform the Guilty as Charged material before Lagos hosts the closing show.
The comedian, who has been active in the entertainment industry for almost two decades, is known for his stand-up comedy, often drawing inspiration from relationships, society, popular culture and everyday Nigerian experiences.
The Lagos finale will also introduce a new seating arrangement for Bovi’s live shows. For the first time, attendees will be assigned designated seats and will have the opportunity to choose their preferred seats while purchasing their tickets.
The new seating system will reportedly apply across the entire venue.
The October performances will therefore give Nigerian fans the chance to experience Bovi’s Guilty as Charged tour locally after its successful international run in the UK and Canada.
