CANAL+ has secured the broadcast rights to the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027 qualifiers and tournament finals, with matches set to be aired on SuperSport across Sub-Saharan Africa.
The qualifying campaign features 48 nations drawn into 12 groups of four, with teams competing across six matchdays for places at the 24-team finals.
The first two matchdays are scheduled to run through October 6, while the remaining qualifiers will take place in November 2026 and March 2027.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles began their Group L campaign on a winning note, defeating Madagascar 2-1 in Uyo on Friday, with debutants George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor finding the net.
The Super Eagles will face Guinea-Bissau in their second qualifying fixture in Bissau on Tuesday, September 29, at 5:00pm.
Chief Executive Officer of CANAL+ Africa, David Mignot, described the agreement as an important development for African football audiences.
“We are thrilled to bring the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027 Qualifiers and the tournament itself to SuperSport, giving football fans across the continent the opportunity to follow their national teams from the opening stages of qualification through to the biggest moments of the finals,” Mignot said.
He added that the agreement would allow fans to follow the entire journey, from the qualifying battles to the finals in East Africa.
The 2027 AFCON will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda from June 19 to July 17, 2027. It will be the first edition of the competition to be jointly hosted by three countries and the first AFCON staged in East Africa since Ethiopia hosted the tournament in 1976.
The agreement also expands CANAL+’s coverage in French-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa, with the qualifiers to be broadcast in French across more than 20 countries.
The AFCON PAMOJA 2027 finals will also be available across the continent through entry-level packages, giving SuperSport viewers access to the tournament from the qualifying stages through to the finals.
The deal further strengthens CANAL+’s portfolio of African and international sports broadcasting rights while giving football fans across Sub-Saharan Africa access to the full road to AFCON 2027.
The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027 qualifiers are currently live on SuperSport, with the tournament finals scheduled for June 19 to July 17, 2027.
