Dino Melaye releases ‘Fuel Subsidy Return’ anthem

Former lawmaker who represented Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, has released an anthem calling for the reversal of the fuel subsidy removal under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Melaye released the anthem, titled ‘Fuel Subsidy Return’, at a political rally in Abuja, where he referenced the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, as the only one who will restore it in 2027.
The ex-senator, in the song, repeatedly sang the phrase ‘it’s coming back again’, widely interpreted as a reference to the return of fuel subsidy under a future Atiku administration.
Recall that Atiku had said that he would return fuel subsidy if elected president in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
According to him, the removal of the fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu’s administration has not yielded any benefit for Nigeria.
DAILY POST reports that Atiku was ratified as the presidential candidate of the ADC on May 29, 2026, after emerging winner from the party’s primary election held across the country.
