A 32-year-old Florida woman has been accused of drugging men she meets while out and stealing their expensive watches.
Lynda Mae Crouse allegedly targets wealthy single men, flirts with them and convinces them to take her home or to a hotel.
Authorities claim she then drugs the men and leaves with their luxury watches while they are unconscious.
Crouse was arrested last Friday over an incident that allegedly happened on April 12.
According to court documents, she met a man at the Carousel Club in Hallandale Beach around midnight.
The two exchanged contact details before leaving the club.
The man later sent an Uber to Crouse’s home to bring her to his place.
They started drinking together, but when the man went to change his clothes, he suddenly began feeling “funny” and “extremely tired,” according to an affidavit.
The man said the last thing he remembered before passing out was hearing a clapping sound from his living room and Crouse saying she was leaving.
When he woke up several hours later, he immediately checked his Rolex box.
He suspected the sound he heard before passing out was the box being opened.
He then discovered that his diamond-covered 40 mm Rolex Presidential, valued at around $98,400, was missing.
The victim later identified Crouse from a police photo lineup.
Authorities say Crouse has four other open cases in Miami-Dade County involving similar allegations.
In those cases, men reportedly took her home and later woke up feeling confused before discovering that their expensive watches were missing.
In one case, a toxicology test reportedly showed that the victim had zolpidem in his system. Zolpidem is a sleeping medication that can cause sedation, confusion and memory problems, especially when mixed with alcohol.
Crouse has been charged with grand theft.
Her bond was set at $2,000, which she paid.
