Dr. Jeffrey Kuraun is a geologist, energy professional, entrepreneur, philanthropist and public affairs advocate whose career has spanned the oil and gas, mining, education and community development sectors.

Kuraun hails from Mbaduku/Tsar in Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State. He began his early education at St. Francis Nursery and Primary School, Gboko East, before proceeding to King’s Comprehensive College, Mkar, Gboko.
He later gained admission to the University of Jos, where he studied Geology and Mining and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
His undergraduate academic performance earned him recognition from the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society and Mobil Producing Nigeria, with his undergraduate thesis receiving a first-place award in geosciences.
Seeking to broaden his technical expertise, Kuraun proceeded to Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, United Kingdom, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Field and Well Management Engineering in 2003.
