French President, Emmanuel Macron receives Tinubu in France

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday met with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.

The meeting was held during a private dinner at the Élysée Palace in Paris, France.

According to the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, the meeting focused on the shared commitment of Nigeria and France to strengthening bilateral cooperation between both countries.

President Tinubu had on August 30, embarked on a three-week working vacation to Europe as part of his annual leave.

The Nigerian leader is expected to return to the country immediately after the vacation to join what the presidency described as the “hectic campaign” for the January 2027 general election.
