“I Will End My 2027 Campaign” -Peter Obi Breaks Silence Over Claims He Travels Abroad To Collect Campaign Funds

  • NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi has denied claims that he travelled to the United States to collect money from Nigerians in the diaspora for his 2027 campaign.
  • Obi challenged anyone who can identify a person in America who gave him even one dollar to come forward, saying he is funding his activities with his own resources and paying his expenses himself.

NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi has denied claims that he travelled to the United States to collect money from Nigerians in the diaspora, challenging anyone with evidence to prove otherwise.

Obi made the statement while addressing claims surrounding his current trip to America, where some critics alleged that he was seeking financial support for his 2027 presidential campaign.

The former Anambra State governor challenged anyone who could show that he received money from a Nigerian in the US to come forward, saying he would end his campaign if such evidence was provided.

“People are saying that on my current trip to America, I have gone there to collect money from Nigerians in the diaspora. If anyone can show me one person in America who gave me even one dollar, I will end my 2027 campaign. I am using my own resources and paying all my bills. I am running around the world, trying to do the right thing.” — Peter Obi

His comments have generated mixed reactions online, with supporters defending his position while critics questioned his decision to make such a challenge.

@EAkuechiama: Don’t mind them. They think you a beggar like them. Men without honor. Beggar used to be a shameful thing now it’s a profession men shamelessly beggar for money even from women.

@Gotec83: @HighChiefOkoro @adeyanjudeji another challenge for Peter obi to stop so you can support your tinubu in peace has drop

@RoseBellkein: You are running all around seeking for votes and supprt. Which one is trying to do thw right thing ?

@ElizabethSimi3: When they lack legitimate accusations, they turn to fabrication.

@obumunegbu: Only fools can think and say this. If man wanted money, at least he could have been taking the same benefits most of the corrupt governors are taking.

@EbubechiVictor1: My Principal, no dey follow all these fools talk.

@kingkhone4real: You are fake messiah looking for ways to steal power to enjoy your time oga. You don cast. Nobody rate you anymore except a few senseless bingos

@Chukwuemek95271: Sir please don’t answer every question not all question you will answer

@JettyJoeOdey: I think most people get to talk about him just to keep themselves relevant. Even if he travels around the world to gather funds, there is nothing wrong about it.

@EmekaOEmeka5: APC is doing everything to undermine this man’s credibility, and honestly, it’s not fair. This is bitter politics at its worst. Political differences are one thing, but deliberately trying to destroy someone’s reputation is another.

@Dozzy_Dozzy22: Nnaa eeh, I can’t even be like you no matter how hard I try. You’re far ahead. You’re just the standard

@Edvinng: We already know you. You’re the Solid Rock and a man of integrity.

@ObajiKelly: Peter is arguably the most qualified man for the job. But no — we live in a society where good people are the ones who get victimized.

@Onuohafayz: Show me any other worthy politician than him and I’ll stop supporting him

@DiamondBobmac: We believe you our upcoming president, integrity choke.

@Odus576816: Another challenge oya make una come out come face the man 😂

@Foxyblueu: Ending a campaign over one dollar? Transparency in campaign finance, including your ‘own resources,’ matters more than a dramatic claim.
