A Nigerian lady has sparked conversations online after openly explaining why she has no plans to get married or have children.

In a statement shared online, the lady admitted that she considers herself selfish and does not want the responsibilities that come with raising a child or putting another person’s needs ahead of her own.

According to her, she enjoys prioritising herself and does not want to be in a position where she constantly has to make sacrifices for someone else.

She also expressed concerns about relationships and marriage, saying she finds it difficult to come across considerate men who genuinely treat their partners well.

Explaining her decision, she said:

“I don’t think I’m fit to have a child. I am very selfish, and I only care about myself. I don’t want to have to put someone first before me. I am a considerate person, it is very hard to see a considerate man towards a woman. Nobody I know is in a happy marriage.”
