Jong Ajax Humiliated 6-1 by Jong FC Utrecht as Goalkeeper Sees Red

Jong Ajax suffered a terrible night on Monday after losing 6-1 to Jong FC Utrecht in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
Playing at Sportcomplex Zoudenbalch in Utrecht, the home side took the lead after just 12 minutes and never looked back.
Jong FC Utrecht continued to punish Ajax and went into half-time with a comfortable 3-0 lead.
Jong Ajax actually had more of the ball, but they struggled to create enough danger in front of goal.
Things became even worse after the break. Utrecht scored two more goals to make it 5-0.
Ajax finally pulled one back with around five minutes remaining, but Utrecht responded again to complete a huge 6-1 victory.
Jong Ajax finished the game with 59 percent possession, but Utrecht were far more effective and took advantage of mistakes made by the visitors.
It was also a night to forget for Jong Ajax goalkeeper Joeri Heerkens. After making an earlier mistake, Heerkens was later shown a red card.
With the goalkeeper sent off, outfield player Geronimo Spina had to take over in goal during the closing stages.
The victory takes Jong FC Utrecht to seven points from eight matches. Jong Ajax also remain on seven points.
Elsewhere, Jong PSV and Jong AZ played out a 1-1 draw.
