Tension is brewing in Benue State after the Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, was reportedly prevented from entering the state.
In a video shared by an aide on Tuesday, the aide said they had just arrived from the airport and were heading into town when they discovered that the road had been blocked by suspected hoodlums.

The aide alleged that the blockade was deliberate to stop Mr Obi’s convoy from accessing the state capital.
As of the time of filing this report, the reason for the blockade and the identity of those behind it remain unclear.
