A prophet has sparked reactions after telling his church members that they should not consider themselves indebted because of sin, insisting that Jesus Christ has already paid the full price.
According to the preacher, Christians should not allow the issue of sin to prevent them from enjoying their lives.
“Jesus has paid the whole debt. You are not owing anybody a sin. What they are now calling sin is a normal lifestyle, so always enjoy life to the fullest,” he told his congregation.
The prophet’s message appears to challenge conventional teachings about sin and Christian conduct, particularly the belief that believers should continually strive to live according to biblical standards.
His remarks have since attracted attention, with some people debating the interpretation of Christian freedom and the role of repentance in the life of a believer.
The statement was reportedly made during a church service as the prophet addressed members of his congregation.
The comments have also generated discussions online, with social media users offering different interpretations of what he meant by describing certain behaviours traditionally regarded as sinful as a “normal lifestyle.”
