Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying he sees hope in the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda despite the hardship Nigerians have experienced.

Soludo made the remarks while speaking about the state of the Nigerian economy inherited by the Tinubu administration and the reforms introduced by the President.

According to the governor, many Nigerians were unaware of the severity of the economic situation before Tinubu assumed office and the extent of the measures required to address it.

He said, “I see hope with the renewed hope agenda, most people did not know the state of the economy inherited by President Tinubu and the absolute necessity of the emergency surgical operation required.”

Soludo compared the situation to a severe medical condition, arguing that painful consequences were expected from the reforms.

He added, “A stage four cancer patient will obviously feel the pains of surgery.”
