The Lindsay Clancy case has taken on a new focus following the mistrial, with attention turning to the holdout jury member who was convinced the defendant was guilty. Amid all the talk surrounding the juror, identified as Michael Desronvil, Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, has filed a motion to probe into his conduct.
Desronvil’s attorney is clapping back at the request, accusing Reddington of destroying the justice system’s integrity because he did not get the outcome he wanted for his client.

Kevin Reddington has requested Judge William Sullivan to launch a probe into holdout juror Michael Desronvil following the Lindsay Clancy case mistrial.
The motion specifically requested the court o look into the juror’s cellphone records to see whether he used the device during deliberations, as well as review his pre-trial questionnaire and any prior records, as reported by The Blast.
Following the mistrial, several jurors spoke out on interviews and shared their views on why they weren’t able to come to a unanimous verdict. Eleven of them agreed on not guilty by reason of insanity, while the holdout voted guilty.
The holdout juror has since identified himself as Michael Desronvil, and through his attorney, Edward Paltzik, responded to the other jurors’ claims that he had reasonable doubt.
The Attorney Addresses Kevin Reddington’s ‘Disgusting Motion’
On X, Paltzik wrote that Reddington’s “disgusting motion to investigate Michael” is not only an attack on his client, but on the U.S. Constitution.
The attorney also clapped back at Clancy’s attorney and defended Desronvil in an interview with Fugitive TV‘s Ray Marcel, saying the integrity of the justice system is being destroyed. Paltzik noted that jurors must be allowed to fulfill their duties without being fearful of retaliation.
“He was unable to get the 12 to 0 that he needed. And 12 to 0 and 11 to 1 are not the same thing. One is enough for a verdict and one is a hung jury. And Kevin Reddington is a sore loser,” Paltzik said, adding that he does not think Justice Sullivan should consent to Reddington’s motion for an investigation.

Elsewhere during the interview, Paltzik talked about Desronvil’s guilty vote, saying that his client followed the evidence and came to the conclusion that Clancy murdered her three children with premeditation, a sentiment he shares.
“Let’s not forget what happened here. A demon, which is what Lindsay Clancy is, murdered her three innocent children, and of course all children are innocent, and she actually has supporters,” Paltzik told Marcel. He also believes Clancy should face the death penalty, although capital punishment is not constitutional in Massachusetts.
“Lindsay Clancy should be executed… The idea that she should be allowed to spend her days in a mental hospital is absurd. The idea that she should even be allowed to get three meals a day in a prison is also wrong,” he said.

One of the jurors claimed Desronvil was “scrolling on his phone” during their deliberations, which is part of why Reddington wants him investigated.
Desronvil claims, however, that other jurors used their cellphones as well. Speaking on behalf of the holdout juror, Marcel told NewsNation’s Brian Entin that the jurors’ devices with them during deliberations.
“It wasn’t like they took their phones away and locked them away. I mean, there were juror members, which I’m not going to say names, that were posting on social media allegedly, you know, while deliberations were going on,” Marcel claims.

Desronvil feels attacked by Clancy’s attorney following the mistrial and is reportedly preparing to file a complaint against him, as reported by TMZ.
According to insiders, Reddington has repeatedly accused Desronvil of violating his oath as a juror without evidence, and he wants him suspended or even disbarred for his actions.
The court in the Clancy trial is scheduled to reconvene on September 29 to discuss Reddington’s motions and determine the next steps in the case.
