A Nigerian man has called out social media activist VeryDarkMan and members of the Ratel movement over their approach to government criticism.

In a video making the rounds online, the man questioned why VDM, despite having a large following, could not use his influence to mobilise Nigerians to demand better governance.

He also referenced some of VDM’s activities, including plans to build schools and clean gutters, while arguing that more should be done to challenge the government.

“You want to build schools, clean gutters… you have so many people behind you but you cannot rise against the government that is eating the people like cankerworm,” he said.
