Money Can’t Buy Tinubu 2027 Election — Makinde

The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, has said the 2027 presidential election will not be determined by money, political godfathers or opinion polls, but by the Nigerian electorate.

Makinde said voters would not allow wealthy politicians and powerful political structures to dictate their choices at the polls.

He made the remarks on Monday in Lafia, Nasarawa State, while addressing the party’s candidates from the North-Central zone, where he presented his proposed “Reset Agenda” as an alternative to the current direction of the country.

Making a direct reference to President Bola Tinubu, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Makinde said the outcome of the 2027 election would not depend on the financial strength of any candidate or party.

He said, “This 2027 election will not be determined by politics, by pollsters, or by the number of multimillionaires in your party.

“This election is not going to be determined by the number of millionaires you have in your corner, or how many billions you have to spend. This election will be determined by the people of Nigeria.”
