A former philanthropist has cried out for help after revealing that he has fallen on difficult times and is now putting his car up for sale.
The man, who spoke about his financial struggles online, said he once enjoyed a comfortable lifestyle, with businesses in Dubai and the ability to travel in and out of the country in business class.
According to him, his fortunes changed about three years ago when he could no longer enter Dubai, leaving him without an income and eventually forcing the closure of his businesses.
Despite losing his source of income, he claimed that he continued to use his online platform to help others whenever he could.
However, he revealed that his situation has now worsened, as his landlord allegedly threw him out of his home after he was unable to pay his rent.
Expressing his frustration, he also criticised what he described as the tendency of some Nigerians to celebrate the misfortune of others.
“It is only in Nigeria that people are happy about others’ downfall. I used to do very well for myself. I owned businesses in Dubai and flew business class in and out of the country until they said they don’t want Nigerians in their country about three years ago.
“I couldn’t enter the country, there was no income, and my business was shut down. Despite that, I still come online to help people. Now my landlord has thrown me out of my house because I couldn’t pay rent.”
The former philanthropist has now put his car up for sale as he seeks to raise funds and navigate his current financial difficulties.
