Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will emerge victorious in the Federal Capital Territory during the 2027 presidential election.
Wike, who has remained a prominent supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu despite belonging to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said he was determined to demonstrate that effective governance is achievable when leaders are committed to working.
Speaking on his activities and achievements in the nation’s capital, the former Rivers State governor maintained that there was nothing particularly difficult about governing when a leader is willing to put in the necessary effort.
According to him, his performance in Rivers State before becoming FCT minister remains evidence of his ability to deliver on his responsibilities.
“No Party Will Win the Presidential Election in the FCT Except the APC. I came to the FCT to prove a point, there is nothing difficult about governance if you choose to work. You can check my record as Governor of Rivers State,” Wike said.
His comments come amid growing political preparations for the 2027 general elections, with the FCT expected to be an important battleground in the presidential contest.
