‘Oyo 2027: ‘Makinde Is Pained, I’ll Soon Expose Him’ — Hamzat Claps Back

Governorship candidate of the Accord Party in the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, Oriyomi Hamzat, has clapped back at Governor Seyi Makinde over his remarks that governance is a serious business, not some petty jokes.

Hamzat, a broadcaster, made the remarks in a video while reacting to Makinde’s recent comments in which the governor took a swipe at his political opponents and questioned their qualifications and records.

Hamzat said he was only doing his job as a broadcaster and politician by speaking about issues concerning the state and the 2027 election.

“I’m a broadcaster. I talk for a living. We speak to campaign in politics. Anyone who becomes jittery once we speak about him is pained,” Hamzat said.

He accused Makinde of being unsettled by his comments, saying he would soon make revelations about the governor.

“I will reveal Governor Seyi Makinde’s secrets in the coming days,” he said.

The Accord candidate’s response came after Makinde, while defending his administration’s achievements and the competence of his cabinet members, said governance involved the destinies of millions of people and should not be treated as a joke.

Makinde had also challenged his political opponents to present their achievements and explain how some of their campaign promises would be implemented if elected
