A pastor and his wife from a local church have d!ed following a fight at their home in Ogun State.
The incident happened in the early hours of Monday, August 25, when the couple had a heated argument that turned physical.
The woman was left unconscious and badly hurt while the man left the house.
A neighbour heard screaming around 1am and rushed out to find the woman lying injured and bleeding.
At that time, no vehicle was immediately available to rush her to hospital, so the neighbour called others in the community for help.
Their son, who was in another room, did not witness what happened between his parents.
When the community noticed the husband was nowhere to be found, they began searching for him.
They later discovered he had been struck by a vehicle in another part of the state.
Police took him to hospital, and the community later arranged to bring his body home.
The woman was buried the same day of the incident, while the man was laid to rest on Wednesday, September 2.
Before their deaths, the couple had been having repeated conflicts.
The mans sister explained in a video that around April, they had come to her house and told her about a fight.
She said the matter was settled at a police station at the time.
She described how she had advised them to be patient with each other, noting that the community had helped resolve their disputes on several occasions before.
Police confirmed they are investigating the circumstances surrounding both deaths.
However, the exact details of what led to this tragedy remain unclear.
