Food content creator and Prophet Rolex has broken his silence after being called out over his past promotion of TMT Travels and Tours amid allegations that the company sc@mmed Nigerians through visa-related transactions.
Rolex apologised to those affected, saying he was unaware that the situation would eventually become a major controversy.
“Please, to all the victims of the TMT visa sc@m, forgive me.
I had no idea the whole issue would turn out this way.
However, since the matter is currently with security operatives, I’m sure you will get your money back.”
Addressing questions about his relationship with the travel company, Rolex revealed that he was only an ambassador during a specific period.
“My ambassadorial contract with him was from 2022 to 2024.”
His statement comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding TMT Travels and Tours and its promoter, Ifeanyi Onukwubiri, following allegations involving Nigerians who reportedly paid for visa-related services.
Rolex’s clarification has, however, triggered mixed reactions, with some social media users questioning what he knew about the company at the time of his endorsement, while others said being an ambassador did not automatically make him responsible for alleged wrongdoing by the company.
