Nollywood actor and activist Stanley Ajemba, popularly known as Stanley Ontop, has expressed disappointment with actress Regina Daniels following reports that she may have reconciled with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
New Daily Prime reports that speculation about the couple’s alleged reconciliation emerged online nearly a year after their highly publicised marital crisis, which was reportedly linked to allegations of maltreatment and domestic abuse.
The renewed speculation was triggered by a viral video showing Regina Daniels at Ned Nwoko’s residence. The development sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians and celebrities who had previously supported the actress during her reported marital troubles.
Amid the growing speculation, Regina’s sister, Destiny Daniels, dismissed claims that the actress had returned to her husband.
In a post shared on her Instagram Story, Destiny explained that Regina was at Ned Nwoko’s residence to spend time with her children.
Her clarification, however, did little to end the debate as social media users continued to question the circumstances surrounding Regina’s presence at the senator’s home.
Reacting to the controversy, Stanley Ontop, who previously shared a viral video involving Regina during the period of her reported marital crisis, expressed frustration over what he described as a disappointing development.
The activist claimed that he had faced significant pressure and the possibility of arrest after publicly supporting Regina and her family during the dispute.
According to him, several activists whom he had encouraged to support Regina are now angry with him because he had assured them that the actress would not return to Ned Nwoko’s residence.
“I almost went to prison because of this case,” Stanley said while recounting his experience.
He also alleged that his photograph and personal information remained at the Maitama Police Station following the controversy.

Stanley questioned why Regina did not inform him or her brother about her visit if, as her sister claimed, she had only gone to the residence to see her children.
He said he was particularly troubled by the actress’ seemingly relaxed appearance in the video, considering the seriousness of the allegations that had previously surrounded the marriage.
“Why was I not aware about your visit to your kids? Why didn’t you tell your brother so that your brother will tell me since I’m friends with your brother?” he questioned.
Stanley further claimed that he could not sleep after seeing the video and became emotional because of the situation.

The actor went on to accuse Regina of settling her differences with Ned Nwoko, despite the explanation that she had visited the residence to see her children.
“You didn’t go there to see your children. You don settle with Ned,” Stanley said, insisting that he did not believe the explanation being offered.
He described Ned as an “oppressor” and said he was making his position public so that Nigerians would know that he was not aware of, nor had he endorsed, any alleged reconciliation.
Stanley also declared that the experience had changed his attitude towards intervening in marital disputes.
According to him, the controversy had subjected him and other activists to significant pressure, prompting him to vow never to interfere in another couple’s marital crisis.
The latest development comes about nine months after Ned Nwoko publicly stated that he would not take Regina Daniels back as his wife.
The earlier statement had further heightened public interest in the couple’s relationship and left many Nigerians watching closely for developments.
However, while the viral video has fuelled reconciliation rumours, Regina’s sister has maintained that the actress’ presence at Ned’s residence was strictly related to visiting their children.
As of the time of this report, the actress herself has not publicly confirmed that she and Ned Nwoko have reconciled.
