Suspected Thief Caught After Posing As Hospital Staff To Steal Nurse’s iPhone 16 In Berekum

A suspected thief has been arrested at the Holy Family Hospital in Berekum in the Bono Region after allegedly disguising himself as a staff member to steal a nurse’s iPhone 16.

According to reports, the man entered the hospital dressed in what made him appear like a member of staff. He allegedly used the disguise to move around the facility unnoticed before stealing the nurse’s phone.

After taking the device, the suspect was reportedly spotted and confronted. He attempted to escape by running away from the hospital premises, but some nurses gave chase and managed to catch him.

The suspect was subsequently apprehended and handed over for further action.

The incident has attracted attention as many question how easily the suspect was able to enter the hospital while disguised as a staff member. Some have also called for tighter security measures at health facilities to prevent similar incidents.
