VP Shettima Leads FG’s Delegation To Emir Of Gumel’s Burial Schedule For Today

As the corpse of the late Emir of Gumel, Ahmad Muhammad Sani, arrived at Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, the emirate council fixed 6 p.m. today, Friday, for the funeral prayer of the monarch.
The federal government delegation, led by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, has arrived in Jigawa State for the burial.
Other members of the federal government delegation include the Chairman of the Northwest Development Commission, senators, House of Representatives members, and All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts.
Meanwhile, the state Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, his Deputy, Engr. Aminu Usman, former Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, Alhaji Sule Lamido, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, traditional rulers from within and outside the state, and many other dignitaries have arrived in the ancient city of Gumel for the funeral prayer.
The death of the late Emir Ahmad Sani, who reigned for 46 years, has thrown the emirate and Jigawa State into mourning.
The late emir has been described as a beacon of integrity, humility, and exemplary leadership. His remarkable achievements will remain indelible in the annals of the history of the emirate and Jigawa State.
