“Your Bumbum Is Showing!”- Lady Shares Embarrassing BRT Ride After Trousers Tore

- A woman shared an embarrassing experience of walking home from work.
- She was unaware that there was a tear in the back of her trousers.
- People were staring at her, but she didn’t understand why.
A lady has recounted an embarrassing moment she experienced while returning home from work after unknowingly walking around with a tear at the back of her trousers.
According to her, she began noticing people staring at her as she made her way home but could not figure out what had caught their attention.
She eventually got to a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stop and joined the queue. After boarding the bus, she deliberately took a seat near the front because she planned to get off before the last stop.
She said a man, who appeared to be in his 40s, eventually alighted at the same stop as her. While she was distracted by the music playing through her earphones, the man approached her and drew her attention to the problem.
Recounting what he told her, she said, “sister your bumbum is showing. I said what? He said your bumbum is showing.”
The lady said she was immediately filled with embarrassment when she realised what had happened. To make matters worse, she disclosed that she was not wearing anything underneath the trousers when they tore.
She explained that the damage was located at the back, making it difficult for her to notice or find a way to cover it while travelling.
According to her, the man tried to help by offering her a handkerchief to cover the torn area. However, she wondered how such a small piece of cloth could adequately hide the damage.
Looking back at the awkward experience, she apologised humorously to anyone who may have seen her on the BRT that day, saying, “If you happened to see me on the BRT today, I’m so sorry for what you saw.”
She also joked that anyone who spotted her travelling in the direction of Kano or Kaduna should simply assume she was relocating to start afresh after the unexpected embarrassment.
The story has since sparked amusement, with many people likely relating to the fear of discovering a wardrobe malfunction only after stepping out in public.
