Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has thanked President Bola Tinubu for the help his government has given the state, especially on security, health and money sharing with states.
He spoke on Monday when Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele and Health Minister Ali Pate visited him in Bauchi.
Mohammed said the President has set up two military battalions in the state, one in Alkaleri and the other in Tafawa Balewa, and this has made the state safer.
He said Bauchi was close to being taken over by bandits and no one came to help until he reached out to Tinubu.
According to him, the President answered the call even though he belongs to the opposition.
The governor said Tinubu sent a strong military team led by the National Security Adviser, along with other security agencies.
He said over 100,000 people who were threatening the peace of the state were driven out.
Many families who had fled their homes have now returned and are back on their farms this season.
He asked the ministers to pass on the state’s thanks to the President and promised that Bauchi people will not forget the kindness.
Mohammed also praised the Federal Government for finishing a health project in the state that started three years ago, when an opposition party was in charge.
He said Tinubu has done well, mostly in health and finance, since states now receive more money.
He added that Bauchi is ready to work with the Federal Government to make life better for its people.
