“Luckily For Me, I Was Away In The US” – Chidi Mokeme Reveals Bell’s Palsy Scare, Says Wife Thought He Was Having A Stroke

Nollywood actor Chidi Mokeme has recounted the frightening experience he had after Bell’s Palsy reportedly affected him in the middle of the night while he was in the United States.
Mokeme explained that he woke up one morning and tried to pick up his phone, but noticed that although his mind was telling him to move, his body was not responding as expected.
According to the actor, his condition became more alarming when his wife walked in and noticed that one side of his face had already started drooping.
“Bell’s Palsy happened in the middle of the night, luckily for me, I was away in the US. I woke up that morning, and tryna raise my phone, the mind wants to pick up the phone, but the body is not responding. My wife comes in, My face was already half way droop, You’re having a stroke? EMERGENCY,” he said.
The actor’s revelation has since sparked reactions online, with some social media users sharing their own experiences while others focused on the importance of access to emergency medical care.
