The 10-time African champions defeated Comoros 2-0 in the first leg of their 2028 Olympic Games second qualifying round fixture on Friday.
Michelle Alozie and Uchenna Kanu scored the goals for the Super Falcons in the second half.
“I was nervous at the start because it’s an away game. A draw away from home would be good, but given our pedigree and the quality we have, the goalless first half was worrisome.
“Forget the names of the countries; we played them with the utmost respect,” Eguavoen admitted at the post-match briefing.
The reverse fixture will hold at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, next Tuesday.
