Revealed! Young Yewa Politicians Working For YAYI

39
For very many years, Ogun West Senatorial District, Yewaland has waited, lobbied and voted, yet the governorship of Ogun State has remained elusive. But as the 2027 governorship race begins to take shape, the loudest and most organised clamour for power shift is no longer coming from the traditional council of elders or the Obas, it is coming from the streets, the wards and the polling units, led by a new generation of young politicians from Yewaland.
From Ado-Odo/Ota to Ipokia, from Yewa South to Yewa North and the border hills of Imeko-Afon, young Councilors, Supervisors, Special Assistants to Local Government Chairmen, former student union leaders and grassroots mobilizers who constitute the emerging political class of Yewaland have abandoned party divides to rally behind one man, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI.
Under the banners of Yayi Youth Vanguard, Ogun Youths Pacesetters, Yayi Grassroot Alliance and Yayi Progressives Movement, these young politicians say their support for YAYI is not out of sentiment but out of evidence of roads built, classrooms delivered, health centres equipped and over 90,000 Yewa indigenes empowered before he even declared interest in the guber race.
They call it the Yewa Youth Project and it is to deliver over 180,000 youth votes from Ogun West alone and over 400,000 statewide, polling unit by polling unit, for YAYI in 2027.
And as the race gathers momentum, the emerging leaders have formed a formidable coalition to ensure YAYI becomes the next Governor of the State.
City People gathered that this is is not the usual endorsement by elders ,rather a new political class of Yewa youths taking their destiny in their own hands.
The arrowhead of this movement is the Yayi Youth Vanguard, with strong roots in Yewaland. While its Convener is Olamide Lawal, Special Adviser on Youth Development to Governor Dapo Abiodun, its operational base in Yewa is led by young grassroots politicians who know every polling unit by heart. The list also include Women Leaders, Iyalojas, Market Mobilisers and popular Female Politicians.
Chief Kayode Odunaro.
Although Odunaro does not fall into the list of YAYI’s young supporter’s, the veteran journalist is regarded as the media brain box of Yayi for Governor 2027. Odunaro, who has served 3 Governors as Media aide says Yayi’s candidacy is about justice. His media team is made up of Bloggers and Tik-Tok influencers. The list also include women leaders, Iyalojas and popular female politicians from Yewaland.

They opined that in less than two years as Senator representing Ogun West, Yayi’s projects are visible , a rarity for many who represented the district before.
A fact-sheet released by the youth coalition shows over 30 roads and bridges completed across Yewaland including Alagbon-Imasayi Road, Ilara-Ibese Road, Oja-Odan Road, and inner roads in Ota, Ilaro and Ipokia.
