Zamfara ADC Gets New State Exco

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State has elected a new State Executive Committee through consensus, with Alhaji Kabiru Garba Gusau, emerging as the state chairman of the party.
The consensus congress was held on Monday at the command guest in Gusau
Other key officers elected alongside the chairman include, Kabiru Aliyu Bakura Vice Chairman, Sanusi Falalu, Secretary, Abdullahi Dahiru Auditor, Ganiya Sani Women leader and Abdulkarim Umar as Publicity Secretary among others .
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman, Kabiru Garba Gusau, expressed gratitude to delegates and party elders for the trust placed in him.
The chairman said the consensus option was adopted to promote unity, reduce internal friction, and position the ADC for effective participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He pledged to run an open and inclusive administration that would reposition the ADC as a strong political force in Zamfara.
“Our doors are open to all progressives who believe in issue-based politics and the genuine development of Zamfara State,” Gusau said.
According to him, the ADC is intensifying efforts to consolidate its presence in Zamfara amid ongoing political realignments ahead of the 2027 polls.
Gusau, described the consensus process as a sign of political maturity among ADC members in the state.
According to him, the new leadership would prioritize grassroots outreach, youth and women inclusion, and policy-driven campaigns.
He also appealed to aggrieved members to return to the party, assuring them of fairness and equal opportunity.
