The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has released list of successful candidates who emerged from last Saturday’s primary elections for the National Assembly seats next year.
The list included the three Senatorial candidates in the state and 11 House of Representatives candidates.
The list included Hon. Dozie Ferdinand Nwankwo for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Stella Adaeze Oduah for Anambra North Senatorial District, and Emmanuel Nwachukwu for Anambra South Senatorial District.
Hon. Nwankwo clinched the ticket for the 2023 election but was defeated by Senator Victor Umeh while Oduah represented Anambra North on the ticket of All Progressives Congress (APC). On the other hand Chief Nwachukwu replaced late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and has been in the Senate for barely three months now
In the House of Representatives category, the party named Chinedu Benjamin Obidigwe for Anambra East/West Federal Constituency, Lawrence Chibueze Ofobuike for Aguata Federal Constituency, and Obby Nwankwo for Awka North/South Federal Constituency.
Others are Chukwudi Prince Oli ( Oba Eze Afia)for Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha Federal Constituency, Ikenna Obumneme Iyiegbu( Ike Cubana )for Idemili North/South Federal Constituency, Paschal Agbodike for Ihiala Federal Constituency, and Obim Vincent Dike for Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.
Also on the list are Wilfred Chukwuka Onyema for Ogbaru Federal Constituency, Anthony Amechi Nwora for Onitsha North/South Federal Constituency, Odiraa Camillus Nwankwor for Orumba North/South Federal Constituency, and Maureen Chinwe Gwacham for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency.
Some of the candidates, among them Hon. Obidigwe, Gwacham and Onyema have been in the Green Chambers before now.
The party primary elections had not been without significant protests from candidates who saw some flaws in the conduct.
