Peter Obi Reacts To Rescue Of Abducted Oyo Pupils, Teachers
The 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has commended the rescue of pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Naijaonpoint recalls that the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced the rescue on Friday in a post on his 𝕏 handle.
Reacting to the development, Peter Obi, in a statement titled ‘The Children’s Safe Return Is Worthy of Thanksgiving’ via his 𝕏 handle on Saturday, expressed delight over the rescue operation.
Peter Obi also expressed appreciation to all those whose tireless efforts made it possible for the schoolchildren and teachers to be freed, especially the security personnel and everyone who worked behind the scenes.
The former Governor of Anambra State maintained that the government must continue to work towards building a Nigeria where every child can pursue education without the threat of violence or abduction.
