APGA Reps Aspirant Pledges Loyalty To Party

Ahead of this Saturday’s All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) primary elections for selection of the party’s Senate and House of Representatives candidates for the coming 2027 general election, an aspirant for the party’s ticket for Awka-North/Awka-South Federal Constituency of Anambra State, Ozo Azubuike Ekweozor, has solicited the support of the party members to fly its flag.

He pledged that if elected he would not depart from the party’s ideals and programmes.

Ekweozor made the pledge during his interactive session with members of the APGA’s main support group in Anambra State under the aegis of “Anambra Patriots” in Awka over the weekend.

He decried poor execution of Federal Government Intervention Projects in Awka-North/Awka-South Federal Constituency, and, pledged that if elected he would pursue all such projects domiciled in the various MDAs (Ministries, Departments and Agencies), to make sure that they were implemented.

“There are many roads, hospitals’ equipment, programme to support the growth of SMEs, etc, that are domiciled in the various MDAs allocated in the federal budgets for Awka-North and Awka-South Federal Constituency, so if elected into the House of Representatives to represent our constituency, I will make sure that they are brought and implemented for our people “, he asserted.

Stating that lack of employment for the growing youth population was responsible for the prevailing crime rate in the constituency, Ekweozor promised that he would introduce several youths empowerment programmes to ensure that the youths are gainfully employed.

Some members of the support group, including the immediate past president-general of Amanuke community, Awka-North LGA, Mr. Samuel Okoye; Pastor Freeman Kelvin Ekweozor, as well as Mr. Shedrack in their respective speeches charged Ekweozor to shun greed if elected.
