Former PDP Governorship Aspirant Ayeni Emerges ADC Senatorial Candidate In Ekiti North

A former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Funso Ayeni, has emerged as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Ekiti North Senatorial District.
Ayeni said his decision to contest for the Senate was driven by the need to address what he described as the neglect of the district.
He made this known while speaking with party members and supporters in the Oke-Ijebu area of Ikole Local Government Area, according to a statement issued on Monday in Ado Ekiti.
The ADC candidate said the people of Ekiti North deserved quality representation, adding that the district had not received adequate attention over the years.
According to him, his focus would be on effective representation, youth empowerment, and sponsoring bills that would improve the lives of residents in the senatorial district.
Ayeni also promised to address what he described as years of poor representation affecting Ikole and surrounding communities.
“I am not new to public service and representation. I understand the needs of the people and I will not disappoint them if elected,” he said.
The businessman and philanthropist said his experience working closely with grassroots communities would help him serve the district better.
He assured supporters that he would remain accessible and committed to the welfare of the people if elected into the Senate.
Ayeni was received by a large crowd of supporters in Ikole, where residents praised his contributions to community development and expressed support for his senatorial ambition.
