LASU Set To Host 8th Research, Innovation Fair On Artificial Intelligence-Driven Development

Following the approval of the Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello,  the Directorate of Research Management and Innovation, has officially unveiled the logo for the  8th LASU Research and Innovation Fair.

This edition is scheduled to hold on *Tuesday, 8th and Wednesday, 9th September 2026*, at *Aderemi Makanjuola Lecture Theatre, LASU Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.*

The theme for the 8th edition of the Research And Innovation Fair is  Accelerating National Development through Artificial Intelligence-Driven Research and Innovation.
The Fair is designed to provide a robust platform for scholars, researchers, innovators, policymakers, entrepreneurs, students, and industry stakeholders to explore the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in national growth and sustainable development.

The Fair will feature insightful discussions and research presentations on critical areas including:

• Opportunities, Risks, and Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Teaching and Research;

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Agriculture, Healthcare, Energy, and Human Resources; and

. Harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Security, Safety, and Policy Transformation.

The Research and Innovation Fair has remained one of the University’s foremost intellectual and innovation-driven engagements, showcasing groundbreaking ideas, technological advancements, and impactful research capable of addressing contemporary societal challenges.

The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing both physical and virtual participation.

Members of the University Community, researchers, innovators, corporate organisations, development partners and the general public are encouraged to anticipate and participate in this landmark academic and innovation gathering.
