MWUN PG, Bunu Tasks Muslims On Tolerance, Oneness On Eid-El-Mubarak, Decries Hardship In The Land

The President -General of Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi has joined Muslims in Nigeria and the world in celebrating this year’s Eid -El-Mubarak festival in honour of Prophet Mohammed (Peace be Unto Him).

The maritime expert praised the Muslim faithful in the country for their resilience, tolerance, and love towards one another in spite of the wave of insecurity, violent crimes and hardship that have engulfed the northern region and some parts of the country.
In the message signed by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN,
the Ijaw born Labour Activist also noted that against all odds, Muslims have taken into cognizance that there’s nothing impossible before Allah, the Merciful, whose benevolence mankind has always counted upon to live, especially during this hard and critical times in the history of our country.
While expressing deep heartfelt pains and agony that has befallen innocent and vulnerable Nigerians, especially during this hard period , which Nigerians have found themselves, Bunu urged for perseverance, with hope for better days ahead.

The MWUN PG also appreciated the Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has resolved to repositioning the country, his genuine efforts in fighting the insecurity and inflation in the country, given his total commitment towards returning stability and peace in all the troubled areas in the country.
He prayed that the spirit of Eid Mubarak as Muslims and entire Nigerians celebrate today would usher in the desired peace, hoping that also, the desired change would bring about the expected positive turnaround for the people.

Comrade Bunu further urged the government of all tiers to look into the plights of Nigerians towards alleviation of poverty, moving them to a better living standard.
He asserted that a great number of Nigerians are living below average, adding that the government’s decisive actions would make life more meaningful to the masses and every average person out there struggling for survival.

Comrade Bunu again, commended all Muslims, urging them to continue to live peacefully amongst all men, saying that the Almighty God knows from the beginning to the end; “therefore, Nigerians must show love towards one another going by the spirit of the Eid-Mubarak; while wishing every Nigerian a Happy Sallah.”
