The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on Friday formally received the completed presidential nomination forms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general election.
The nomination forms were presented on behalf of President Tinubu by his Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Hon. Ibrahim Masari, during a ceremony attended by senior party leaders and stakeholders in Abuja.
Among those present were governors elected on the platform of the APC, led by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), APC caucus members in the National Assembly, members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), and other party stakeholders.
The submission of the nomination forms marks another step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 presidential election, with President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima seeking to retain the party’s ticket.
The party leadership described the event as a demonstration of unity and commitment to the APC’s electoral preparations ahead of the next general election.
