NPF-NCCC Receives NECA Delegation In Abuja, Reaffirms Commitment To Digital Policing

The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCCC) in Abuja received a delegation from the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), led by its Director-General, Mr. Wale-Smatt Oyerinde. The visit, which followed an earlier engagement between NECA’s leadership and the Inspector-General of Police, went beyond a routine courtesy call, reflecting increasing national confidence in the NPF-NCCC as a credible and forward-looking institution within Nigeria’s cybercrime response framework.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Center, observed its operations firsthand, and engaged in constructive discussions on areas where collaboration could deliver greater impact. They expressed strong impressions of the Center’s work, commending the Inspector-General of Police, as well as the officers and personnel of the NPF-NCCC, for their professionalism, commitment, and the steady, behind-the-scenes efforts being made to strengthen cybercrime response in the country.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, the Director of the NPF-NCCC, CP Akaninyene Ezima, made one thing clear — the Nigeria Police Force is not waiting for the future of digital policing to arrive. Under the leadership of IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, PSC (+), NPM, it is actively building it. He expressed appreciation to the NECA delegation for the visit and, more importantly, for their stated willingness to roll up their sleeves and support the Center’s work.

The Inspector-General of Police reiterates the Force’s commitment to securing Nigeria’s digital space and assures all Nigerians that the NPF-NCCC will continue to evolve, collaborate, and lead in the fight against cybercrime.
