The Integrity Group (lG) has commended Delta State governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for surpassing the expectations of Deltans despite that he came underrated.
At a press conference in Asaba yesterday over the three years anniversary of the present government, the convener and national president of Integrity Group, Dr Oke Idawene, stated that the governor had performed beyond expectations from education, through health and to other fields.
While saying the MORE agenda of the state government had been a working template, he said more opportunities had been created. He emphasised that the governor’s re-election bid remains a top priority for the Integrity Group, the Renewed Hope Agenda and the Youth Matter Charity Foundation.
“When you see a good Governor, you appreciate. When a Governor is working well, NLC will have nothing to agitate over. Did you see ASUU going on strike in the state? No.
“Oborevwori is a leader who has delivered meaningful progress and opportunities for all Deltans. Anyone contesting against the Governor needs a psychiatric test. We have witnessed massive development, realistic reforms, and enhanced peace and security in Delta state,” ldawene said.
“Whoever plans to contest against Governor Sheriff is wasting their time because he will seamlessly continue as Governor of Delta State from 2023 to 2031. They should not waste their resources since there is no vacancy in Government House, Asaba. We reaffirm the group’s confidence in Governor Oborevwori’s leadership.”
“The government has performed beyond expectations. He has 3,500 kilometers of roads constructed, rehabilitated various health centers, give lots of empowerment to youths and elderly, enhanced peace and security. “He is renovating Warri stadium to turn into world class sports arena, has signed an understanding with companies to generate own electricity, scholarships are given to students, civil servants and residents are happy”, ldawene stated.
