PDP Declares Galadima Winner Of Wukari/Ibi Reps Primary

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared Alhaji Mukhtar Usman Galadima as its candidate for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency seat following the party’s primary election conducted across the district.
Announcing the result, the PDP Returning Officer, Mr. Nuhu Agbu, said Galadima emerged as the party’s sole candidate in line with the PDP constitution and electoral guidelines.
Mr. Agbu explained that the primary election was conducted in all 20 wards of the federal constituency, comprising 10 wards in Wukari Local Government Area and 10 wards in Ibi Local Government Area.
According to him, the exercise followed due process and reflected the collective decision of party members and stakeholders across the constituency.
“The chairmen of all 20 wards across the constituency, alongside designated returning officers, visited each ward to consult party members and stakeholders.
“At every ward, loyal PDP members unanimously affirmed and endorsed Hon. Mukhtar Usman Galadima as their preferred candidate to represent the party in the forthcoming general election.”
Agbu added that the collated results and endorsements were subsequently presented to the state leadership of the party.
He noted that the exercise was conducted in the presence of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant authorities in compliance with electoral regulations.
“Hon. Mukhtar Usman Galadima is hereby officially declared winner and PDP candidate for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency,” he stated.
In his acceptance speech, Galadima expressed appreciation to party leaders, delegates, and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.
He described his emergence as one of the happiest moments of his political career and called on eligible voters in Wukari and Ibi to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Galadima stressed that active voter participation would be crucial to achieving the political aspirations of the constituency.
Party leaders and stakeholders who attended the exercise commended the peaceful conduct of the primary and pledged their support for the candidate ahead of the general election.
