Imo State Police Command has dismissed reports of an alleged attack on a student hostel of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, made the clarification in a statement he issued to newsmen in Owerri, the state capital.
Residents of Owerri woke up yesterday to a Facebook post which claimed over 80 students of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede were razed by fire in their hostel by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
