SDU To Hold Training Workshop For Academic Staff

The Southern Delta University (SDU), Ozoro, will on Tuesday and Thursday 2nd and 4th June 2026 hold training workshops for academic staff of the university at Ozoro and Orerokpe campuses.
The training with the theme: “Academic advancement through effective quality assurance,” will be anchored by Prof. J. N. Odili and Prof. Ochuko Anomoharan.
All academic staff are expected to benefit from the training, which is being put together by the Prof. Macaulay Mowarin-led quality assurance committee under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sunny Ijirhevwe Awhefeada.
According to a release signed by the Chairman Quality Assurance Committee, Prof. Macaulay Mowarin, the training on Tuesday 2nd June, will hold at the ETF Auditorium Campus II, Ozoro by 9.00 am while on Thursday 4th, June, the event will hold at the Orerokpe Campus Auditorium at 9.00 am prompt.
The training, which is focused on strengthening academic standards, professional development and quality assurance practice, has two topics and two speakers.
The first is Academic advancement through effective quality assurance practice in Southern Delta University, which will be handled by Prof. J. N. Odili while the second topic: “The interconnected roles of quality assurance for lecturers students and the university at Southern Delta University,” Ozoro, will be handled by Prof. Anomoharan.
At the end of the workshop, it is expected that the quality of lecture delivery and professional output of academic staff will improve considerably.
