A lady has left social media users amused after recounting an awkward moment during a date when her companion had to send her a message to complain about her walking speed.
The woman shared the story online, explaining that the incident happened while they were walking through a hallway during what appeared to be an otherwise pleasant outing.
According to her, she was unaware that she had moved far ahead of her date until a notification suddenly appeared on her phone.

“God please deliver me from the shackles of walking too fast,” the lady wrote while narrating the incident. I went on a date with this guy and we were walking through a hallway when I suddenly got a notification on my phone saying, ‘Why are you walking so fast?’ I turned back and this man and I were literally like 10 feet away from each other.”
The woman further explained that her date had been reluctant to take a more direct approach despite struggling to keep up.
“He said he had been trying to catch up with my pace, but the only way he could do that was by holding my hand, and he wasn’t sure he could do that yet. At that point, I genuinely wanted the ground to open up and swallow me.”
