APC Chieftain Mumuni Hails New Madakin Raya Kasar Nupe, Senator Sani Musa

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, has described Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, CON, as one of the most trustworthy, humane and dependable political figures in Nigeria, saying the lawmaker is more of a brother than a friend to him.

Mumuni made the remarks while congratulating the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance on his recent conferment as Madakin Raya Kasar Nupe by the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar, CFR.

The senator’s latest traditional honour, Madakin Raya Kasar Nupe, was formally communicated on June 17, 2026, through a letter delivered to his Maitama residence by a high-powered Kin Nupe delegation on behalf of the Etsu Nupe.

In a statement personally signed by Mumuni on Friday, the APC stalwart said the prestigious traditional title was a fitting recognition of Senator Musa’s character, leadership qualities and longstanding contributions to society.

According to Mumuni, his relationship with the senator spans several decades and is built on mutual trust, loyalty and shared values.

“Sani Musa is more of a brother to me than a friend. We have been partners in virtually everything for multiple decades. In the whole of Nigeria, I have no confidant closer than Sani Musa. Even though people rarely see us together publicly, there is hardly a day that passes without us communicating,” he said.

Mumuni described the senator as a man who genuinely believes in peaceful coexistence and the principle of live and let live.

“Sani Musa is a good man who believes in the philosophy of live and let live. He is humble, accommodating and committed to the progress of others. These are qualities that have endeared him to many people across political, ethnic and religious divides,” he stated.

Beyond his personal attributes, Mumuni praised Senator Musa’s performance as a legislator, noting that he has consistently demonstrated commitment to initiatives aimed at addressing national challenges and improving the welfare of citizens.

“Senator Sani Musa has demonstrated commitment to legislative initiatives that address pressing issues affecting our nation. His engagement in policy discussions and advocacy for the welfare of his constituents reflect his dedication to public service,” he said.

He noted that the senator’s contributions cut across economic development, infrastructure improvement and legislative reform, adding that his collaborative approach to governance has made him an influential voice in national discourse.

“His work spans critical areas including economic development, infrastructure improvement and legislative reform. His collaborative approach with colleagues and willingness to engage stakeholders have contributed meaningfully to national discourse and decision making processes,” Mumuni added.

The APC chieftain further commended Senator Musa’s consistent participation in national debates and his efforts to represent the interests of the people of Niger East.

“His consistent presence in national debates and efforts to represent the interests of his constituents showcase the qualities expected of a dedicated public servant. I commend his service to our nation and his role in advancing national priorities,” he said.

Senator Musa, popularly known as “313,” is a prominent member of the APC and currently serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance. He has earned recognition for his legislative activities, constituency development initiatives and advocacy on issues of national importance.

Apart from the newly conferred title, Senator Musa also holds the traditional title of Dan Durbin Minna in the Minna Emirate, reflecting his growing influence and acceptance within traditional institutions in Niger State.

Mumuni concluded by praying for greater success and wisdom for the senator, expressing confidence that he would continue to justify the confidence reposed in him by both the people and traditional authorities.
