Army Raids Lakurawa Hideout In Kebbi, Recovers RPGs, IEDs

Troops of Sector 2 under Operation FANSAN YAMMA have recovered a cache of high-calibre weapons and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Kebbi State.
The operation was carried out on June 14, 2026, in the Dogon Daji area of Dandi Local Government Area. During the mission, the troops engaged members of the Lakurawa terrorist group in a gun duel.
The troops also recovered logistical items abandoned by the fleeing suspects.
Among the items recovered were Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) launchers, several RPG warheads, multiple improvised explosive devices, two motorcycles used for movement by the terrorists, battery chargers, and other personal effects.
The military reported that no casualties were recorded among the troops during the operation.
The army reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining pressure on criminal groups and enhancing the safety and security of citizens.
