The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared winners in several federal and state constituency by-elections conducted across the country on Saturday.
Results announced so far showed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) won most of the seats, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured victory in the Rivers South-East Senatorial District.
In Enugu, APC candidate Ikeje Asogwa was declared the winner of the Enugu North Senatorial District by-election.
Asogwa polled 162,360 votes to defeat his closest rival, Chief Nestor Ezeme of the PDP, who scored 9,299 votes.
The by-election was conducted to replace the late Senator Okey Ezea, who died on November 18, 2025.
In Kebbi, Rabiu Garba Aiki of the APC won the Zuru State Constituency by-election with 4,887 votes.
Aliyu Galadima Muhammad of the Labour Party scored 168 votes.
In Kano, APC’s Rabiu Shuaibu won the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency by-election after polling 35,356 votes.
Lawal Garba-Haruna of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) scored 268 votes, while Abubakar Yahaya-Muhammad of the Labour Party polled 98 votes.
In Rivers, PDP candidate Olaka Nwogu was declared the winner of the Rivers South-East Senatorial District by-election.
Nwogu polled 47,961 votes to defeat Osar Erewari of the APC, who scored 1,647 votes.
In Ondo, Dayo Faduyile of the APC won the Ondo South Senatorial District by-election with 68,474 votes.
Adeolu Akinwunmi of the Allied People’s Movement scored 1,411 votes.
In Nasarawa, APC candidate, Danladi Envulu-anza, won the Nasarawa North Senatorial by-election with 45,362 votes.
Labaran Maku of the Labour Party scored 12,931 votes, while Emmanuel David Ombugadu of the PDP polled 11,570 votes.
