In this exclusive interview with City People Assistant Editor/Head of Tv, SUNDAY ADIGUN, Mrs. Oluwatomiyin Olaniyi Oluwa shares insights into her entrepreneurial journey of 9 years, the inspiration behind TGlow Spiritual Empire, the values that guide her work, and her vision for the future. Let me start by congratulating on your just concluded birthday celebration, how do feel with the turnout?

To be honest, I feel so excited, I feel so happy, I feel so elated. I feel so happy because when we were planning, I was thinking who is going to come, I realized people don’t want to mingle with anybody that does anything spiritual. They always think we are diabolic. They don’t want people to see you with them, they don’t want people to say “ohhh, that is the place she’s getting her spiritual products from”. So, I was so skeptical people might not come and I’m not the type that parties as well. But my team were like, “No, you need to be celebrated”, and to God be the glory, it came out nice. We had a great time. Many people came from diaspora. I give thanks to God.

I saw a clip from the event online where you were crying, what went through your mind at that moment?

That was actually tears of joy. There is no one that will get to his or her fulfilment stage, a stage that make one happy that will not think of where you were coming from. I was emotional because I remember all the hustle and bustle I’ve been through in life, especially from the day I accepted this call. The ups and downs, the challenges and God still kept me. I started with many who are nowhere to be found today. It’s not by my power; it’s not by my might. It’s not as if I know how to serve God to that extent. It’s not as if I’m not a sinner or I’m holy, but for His grace that is sufficient for me. So, I couldn’t hide it, it’s just tears of joy. I was just thanking my God.

Let’s talk about your journey. Who is Tglow and how did it all start?

My name is Oluwatomiyin, Idera Oluwa Neemah popularly known as TGLOW spiritual empire, but before TGlow empire, there was a name which is “Trendy touch” I was born into a Muslim family, my Parents are Muslim practitioners till date. Talking about my journey, seriously, even if you ask me to write it, I have nothing to write because I’m not the one directing myself. I didn’t choose myself on this path. I got to realize that there was a message passed to my Parents while I was in my mother’s womb that gave birth to the journey I’m passing through. Core Muslim practitioners don’t usually agree that you can have another calling aside their belief, let’s leave that for another day. I started as a hairstylist; I had a shop then. Later I learnt how to fix lashes, nails, pedicure, skincare etc. I used to be a massage therapist as well. But while I was doing all of these, there was no fulfilment because I couldn’t account for anything good. And in those years, I kept hearing messages to receive the Call. I’m not the type that believe in prophesy, I don’t even want to listen to them, but it’s funny all the things they were telling me then are happening to me right now. Fast forward to the year 2017 that I accepted the call; it’s been lots of grace. And I’m super excited that I accepted the call hale & hearty. That was the beginning of Tglow spiritual empire Olowoidan.

9 years down the line of Tglow, how did people accept your calling & brand. What are the testimonies?

It comes with peace, because I can tell you for a fact that I’m not the one doing all these. Yes, I do call myself OLOWOIDAN because that’s what I heard in the realm, and I always give all the glory back to God. I’m that person someone has looked in the eyes and said “you can never succeed without me” but in all God has been faithful. This calling comes with a lot of peace, comes with a lot of comfort and I’m glad I accepted it. And as for testimonies, we had more than 10000 people that has crossed our path and they are giving thanks to God.

Looking at your success in the last 9years, what has life taught you?

I’ve learnt a lot, but there is one I will never forget, Transparency! Transparency is key. I’ve met so many in this my line of calling but I’ve never given room for covetousness. I’m contented with the little I have. So transparency and contentment is my watchword.
