Kwara Governor Sacks Deputy Chief Of Staff, Principal Private Secretary, Others (Full List)
The Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, has relieved his Deputy Chief of Staff, Principal Private Secretary, and several political appointees of their duties.
He described the development as a cabinet reshuffle.
The Governor’s decision, which was announced in a statement on Monday signed by his Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola, also affected all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.
According to the statement, Governor Abulrazaq said the decision is to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into the administration.
Naijaonpoint reports that the Governor directed all affected political appointees to hand over all government properties in their custody to the Office of the Secretary of the State Government.
“His Excellency expresses his gratitude to all the appointees for their priceless service to the state.
“He wishes them the best in their future endeavours,” the statement read in part.
