Lateef Adedimeji Addresses Criticism Over Visit To Ooni Of Ife Without Wife

Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has responded to public criticism that followed his recent visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, after observers questioned why his wife was absent from the outing.
In a lengthy post on his Twitter page, Adedimeji clarified that his wife’s absence was not deliberate, explaining that she had been occupied with caring for their triplets.
The actor described the palace visit as a deeply moving experience, saying he felt privileged to spend time with the monarch and draw from his wisdom.
He noted that the warm reception he received, both from the palace and from the Ooni himself, left him with goosebumps.
“From the warm welcome from the palace family to the welcoming aura of Kabiesi himself, I still feel goosebumps from yesterday. It’s all gratitude from me because that little boy of yesterday is now dining with actual kings,” he wrote.
Adedimeji also reflected on the palace’s atmosphere, describing it as a place that exudes class, luxury, spirituality, and a sense of home, adding that, despite it not being his first visit, the experience felt entirely new.
