According to Benjamin Aduli, President/Chief Vision Officer, Maistrade Multipurpose Cooperative Federation Limited, the NUBAN architecture is “not simply another bank account” but a structured treasury and settlement infrastructure built to support cooperative operations, member transactions, agricultural programmes, investment activities, and future growth.

Aduli said the infrastructure is being developed with three key partners namely:
Parallex Bank Limited – Treasury, banking, settlement, and virtual account infrastructure; Custodian Trustee Structures – Trust governance and oversight framework and AppHub Technologies – Platform integration and digital infrastructure

easier reconciliation and enhanced audit readiness and scalability for future ecosystem expansion.

The first five platforms to integrate, according to Aduli, include CoopVault – Cooperative onboarding, savings administration, contribution and project management; Maistrade Cooperative Platform – Member onboarding, digital identity, Know Your Member (KYM), and compliance.

Others are AssuredCash – Personal, cooperative and SME treasury management, financial records, and reporting; CarbonEx – Carbon reward distribution, climate finance settlements, smart cookstove and LPG incentive programmes, future carbon credit monetisation and ZimoClan – Farmer registration, farm verification, agricultural participation, and future commodity finance integration.

On the Future roadmap,Aduli said, the NUBAN framework is built to support upcoming modules including Cooperative Finance, Agricultural Finance, Commodity Finance, Housing Finance, Climate Finance, Cross-Border Commerce, Cooperative Investment Programs, and Future Digital Settlement Infrastructure.

According to him, “Our commitment is that all ecosystem transactions are governed by sound financial controls, trustee oversight, banking partnerships, and transparent reporting mechanisms.

“By establishing strong treasury governance today, Maistrade is laying the foundation for a more transparent, scalable, and sustainable cooperative ecosystem tomorrow.”

The Federation thanked members, partners, trustees, and technology providers for their support in building infrastructure for financial inclusion, cooperative growth, agricultural transformation, and sustainable prosperity.
