Musawah Trains Over 200 Teachers, Lecturers, Students on Artificial Intelligence in Kaduna

More than 200 teachers, lecturers, students and other professionals have received training on Artificial Intelligence (AI) at a one-day capacity-building programme organised by Musawah for Youth and Development Initiative (Musawah 4 Y-D Initiative) in Kaduna State.

The training, held in Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, brought together participants from secondary and tertiary institutions, government agencies, private organisations, civil society groups and the business community.

According to a statement issued by the organisers, the programme was designed to equip participants with practical AI skills to improve productivity, research, teaching and professional development amid the growing adoption of AI across various sectors.

Speaking at the event, the National Coordinator of Musawah 4 Y-D Initiative, Amb. Dr. Polycarp Danladi Gankon, said the organisation remains committed to promoting education, innovation, youth empowerment and digital inclusion.“

Artificial Intelligence is no longer a technology of the future. Our goal is to equip participants with practical digital skills that will improve learning outcomes, workplace productivity and professional growth,” he said.The technical sessions were facilitated by technology strategist Samuel Ateh Stephen, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Realist Tech Solutions, and Salamatu Nuhuakubu, Chief Executive Officer of SK Tech.

Participants received hands-on training on AI applications for research, lesson planning, report writing, professional communication, proposal development, content creation and workplace productivity. They also received an AI Prompt Toolbox to support continued learning after the programme.The organisers said the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to promote digital literacy, innovation and human capital development in Kaduna State.
